MCC Denomination is joining NCJW (National Council of Jewish Women) to tell the Supreme Court (USA): abortion bans are against our religion.

At MCC, we believe all God’s people are provided with agency – the ability to act independently without coercion from the state, religious bodies or family systems.

No law should take away an individual's right to control and make decisions about their own body. Reproductive and religious freedom are key elements of who we are as MCC.

Today, we pause in solemn remembrance of the 32 beautiful souls lost 53 years ago in the UpStairs Lounge arson attack in New Orleans.

We remember Reverend Bill Larson, the members of MCC New Orleans, and all those who perished on that tragic Sunday evening. For our community, the UpStairs Lounge was a sanctuary of joy and belonging. While hate tried to silence their voices, it could never extinguish their light. We carry their legacy of love, faith, and resilience forward today and always.
