Roofers love drone photos. The problem? Drone shots often show very little detail.
A drone can tell you a roof is there. It usually can’t tell you what’s happening on the roof.
Loose shingles, hail damage, exposed fasteners, failed repairs, deteriorated sealants, and subtle wear patterns are often missed from 30 feet in the air.
If you were buying a home, who would you trust?
A roofer flying a drone over the roof…
Or a Master Inspector physically walking the roof and inspecting it up close?
Technology is a great tool, but it doesn’t replace boots on the shingles.
