The Modoc County Superior Court is accepting applications for the position of Legal Process Clerk. This is a full time benefited position, salary range $2,354 to $3,004. Job duties include, but are not limited to, waiting on customers at the counter, answering the telephone, receiving and filing legal documents. Applicant must have the ability to learn legal procedures and documents used in court cases, perform a wide variety of office support work, make arithmetical calculations, learn legal terminology, communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, Skills required include operation of modern office equipment including computer equipment, take and transcribe notes accurately, type at the rate of 45 WPM. Minimum qualifications: Two years of responsible office support experience in a position requiring extensive public contact and preferably dealing with legal documents AND equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade supplemented by training in office practices.
