This article shows a rising trend in injuries to officers on duty. These injuries are predominately caused by assaults on the officer by another party. It is unclear the cause of the rise of the assaults. At Piasa Strategics, we believe that an officer that is well trained in defensive tactics (hand-to-hand training) will benefit from it by being better prepared for such assaults.
