10th Planet Pasadena

On January 7th, the fires changed everything.
Our doors were closed for nearly three months.
Over 30 of our members lost everything.
More than half of our community was displaced overnight.

There was no roadmap just taking it one day at a time, trying to survive, trying to be a place of normalcy in the middle of so much loss and uncertainty.

And somehow… we reopened.
Not because it was easy, but because our kids, our families, and our members needed a safe place. A place to move, to breathe, to feel connected again.

We watched our students persevere.
We watched our kids compete, smile, and find joy through jiu jitsu when so much else felt heavy.
We held space for grief, for healing, and for hope.

We leaned on our community.
We hosted seminars to help support the gym and those around us.
We celebrated 8 years of keeping these doors open something that did not feel guaranteed at times this year.

As we look toward 2026, our hope is simple:
That our displaced members find their way back home.
That jiu jitsu finds its way back into their lives the way it always does when we need it most.

We would not still be here without the unwavering support of our local community and the 10th Planet family around the world.
Thank you for carrying us through the hardest season.
