Today,the MonteCedro team participated in an earthquake drill, simulating a 7.6 earthquake. Incident Command was initiated and teams dispatched to every corner of the building to check apartments and evacuate resident volunteers who simulated everything from a broken bone to being unconscious. The residents in the video are fine, we promise, they acted their parts so beautifully they challenged the team to think on their feet and triage them safely. As drills are intended to do, the team was able to identify areas of strength and areas with gaps, so when a true emergency happens, we are prepared. It was a very successful and effective training.

Last night the MC Theater group presented their production “Independence!” to celebrate the 250th birthday of America. A very appreciative audience packed the house and the performance earned thunderous applause. It was a spectacular way to end the 4th of July celebrations!
