Boutique Helper

The other day I went live and a boutique owner asked me a question;⁣

How do you NOT compare yourself to others?⁣
⁣
I wasn’t able to give the full answer that I would normally give to a client.⁣
⁣
So here it is. ⁣
⁣
In my mind, no one else matters. I stay in my own lane and mind my own businesses. I set my goals and I am only focused on what will help me achieve those goals. If it isn’t adding to my business, it’s none of my business.⁣
⁣
Sure there is competition. But they are not me. I truly believe that what’s for me is for me. ⁣
⁣
I am 100% confident in my skill sets therefore I don’t need to watch others for inspiration or motivation. ⁣
⁣
Recently I became the Director of Content Marketing for Cynthia Bailey’s handbag line ⁣
⁣
This position did not exist, it was created for ME. If I was busy focusing on what others were doing, I wouldn’t be able to continue increasing my value and paving my own lane.⁣
⁣
The lesson. Write down your goals, put your blinders on, and mind your business.⁣
⁣
