Attorneys from Merbaum Law Group participated in the VA Stand Down at Fort McPherson this weekend. The VA Stand Down provided free legal services, health screenings, clothing, haircuts, and food to homeless veterans.

As the summer winds down and students are returning to school, make sure that you understand the lease agreement that your child may enter into while they are away at college. Many apartments near universities have leases that do not obligate each student for the entire rent in the event one or more students breaches the lease. Read the lease thoroughly and make sure your child is not on the hook if another student takes off and refuses to pay.
