Day 4 - Ice Apocalypse 2025

Our home still does not have power and last notification from PIE&G power company yesterday said 5+ more days.

It's not yet confirmed, but I believe the stores power has been restored.

I will be heading over there later this morning to confirm and will make another post at that time.

With that being said, the grand re-opening has now been delayed.

Praying everyone in areas affected by this historic ice storm has stayed safe.

We've been without power at our little farm for almost 24 hours (no worries, we have a generator). We are currently blocked in back here on our property due to downed power lines and trees blocking our mile long driveway. But we are safe and we are warm and ever so thankful to be ok.

Our yard is a mess with fallen trees and will take a few days to clean up. But again we are warm and safe.

Needless to say, opening will be delayed again, but still shooting for the April 5th Grand Opening.

What better way to celebrate the first day of Spring!

I've been getting full body massages the last 2 weeks from one of the students. She is amazing! Her hands are little healing vessels. Because of her, my back was almost back to normal by the time I left my first session. The next day, 100% better. After my second session, I'm now able to lift my right arm over my head for the first time in 5 years due to a shoulder injury!!! 5 YEARS people!

I highly suggest taking the time out of your day to go experience what these students have to offer.

Unfortunately, we aren't quite where we want to be due to a couple hiccups.

First off, I had hurt my back and was down with that for over a week (9 days to be exact). Fortunately, during that time I had some amazing volunteers/friends come in and help with Painting and packing of items that are staying in the store and vendors stopped by to get what wasn't.

Progress, progress, progress thanks to those mentioned above!!!

Then bam! I was hit with a medical issue that landed me at my doctors this past Monday that requires some further testing before a final diagnosis. Currently waiting for those to get scheduled.

BUT as of TODAY, we will be back in the store working into the night in hopes to get back on track.
