DO YOU HAVE Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease
Here is What You Can Do
High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) can contribute to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) by stimulating the production of new fats in the liver, a process called de novo lipogenesis (DNL). Excessive fructose also disrupts the intestinal barrier, leading to gut microbial products entering the liver, which exacerbates inflammation and fat buildup, a key factor in NAFLD progression. Limiting HFCS intake, along with other added fructose-containing sugars, is a clinical recommendation to help prevent NAFLD.
How HFCS Worsens NAFLD
Increases Liver Fat Production:
The liver uses fructose to stimulate de novo lipogenesis (DNL), the process of converting carbohydrates into fat, which leads to fat accumulation in liver cells (steatosis).
Promotes Inflammation:
Fructose consumption has been linked to increased levels of lipopolysaccharides (LPS), a bacterial toxin that can leak from the gut into the liver, triggering inflammation and fibrosis.
Alters Gut Microbiota:
Fructose can change the balance of bacteria in the gut, favoring the production of compounds like acetate, which can be converted into fat in the liver.
Factors Contributing to NAFLD
Obesity and Insulin Resistance:
NAFLD is a chronic liver disease often occurring alongside obesity and insulin resistance, which are metabolic conditions influenced by excessive sugar intake.
Dietary Additives:
HFCS is a common sweetener in many processed foods and beverages, and its increased consumption is associated with a higher risk of developing NAFLD.
Sedentary Lifestyle:
A lack of physical activity is also a known contributing factor to the development and progression of NAFLD.
Recommendations
Limit Added Sugars:
Reducing your intake of foods and drinks high in added fructose, such as sodas and processed foods containing HFCS, is a key recommendation for preventing NAFLD.
Focus on a Healthy Lifestyle:
A comprehensive approach to preventing NAFLD includes managing weight, increasing physical activity, and consuming a balanced diet.
Stay healthy and happy eating!

Ovarian Cysts
A cyst is a sac containing fluid or semi-solid material that develop in the ovaries. Ovarian cysts typically occur where there aren’t enough hormones, due to low progesterone, to properly mature eggs, so they don’t get released.
These cysts can be symptom free in early stages but they also cause absent or scanty periods, pelvic pain, and distention and excessive bleeding. In the natural arena these cysts are considered a sign of toxicity and are created to store toxins the body is having trouble eliminating. So again, taking supplements to detox the liver is a good place to start, such as NS Cellular Detox or Pau d’Arco.
To ease pain and promote healing, NS Nature’s Fresh and Helichrysum essential oil applied topically over the affected area. Balance the hormones with Wild Yam & Chaste Tree for 3-6 months. Diabetes can be a risk factor so have your blood sugar checked and eat a healthy diet, avoiding refined carbohydrate and eating more fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
Fibrocystic Breasts
This condition involves cysts that develop in the breast tissue and cause swollen, tender or painful breasts. This is very common in women 30 to 60 years of age and are usually benign.
Again, avoiding xenoestrogens and enhancing liver detoxification to start. Caffeine tends to aggravate this condition, it should be avoided. Essential fatty acids, like NS Super Omega 3 EPA are helpful, as are Vitamin E and Vitamin B6. To reduce swelling and tenderness, it is essential to improve lymphatic drainage by wearing correctly fitted bras. NS Lymphatic Drainage Formula and exercise are very helpful.
Additional suggestions to avoid these cysts all together, consume good fats such as NS Super Omega 3, Flaxseed Oil, organic coconut oil and butter or ghee from grass fed animals. Avoid caffeine, reduce stress, and exercise regularly

Women's Health series
Estrogen and progesterone compete for the same receptor sites on your cells and good reproductive health requires a balance between these tow hormones. Consider getting a test to see where your current hormone balance lies.
Since the scale is usually tipped toward estrogen, a natural progesterone supplement, such as Wild Yam or a yam cream. Don’t overdo it with the progesterone creams, however. Symptoms of progesterone overdose include headache, weight gain, fatigue, water retention and depression.
Herbs such as sarsaparilla and false unicorn can also be used to counteract excess estrogen by enhancing progesterone. Wild Yam and Chaste Tee, taken regularly for several months, can also balance out estrogen and progesterone.
Now let’s list some natural solutions to other common female health problems.
Uterine Fibroids, first leading cause of hysterectomies, are growths made up of muscle cells and other tissue that grow in the uterine wall. They can cause pain during periods, heavy menstrual flow, abdominal swelling, and bleeding between periods. Because estrogen stimulate uterine tissue, fibroids are a sign of problems with xenoestrogens and the inability of the liver to detoxify excess estrogens. To assist the body with supplementation try using Nature’s Sunshine Cellular Detox as mentioned before. NS-Menstrual Reg can help with heavy bleeding and balance hormones. NS-Yarrow controls bleeding, breaking up stagnation and helps the body dissolve the fibroids. NS-VX capsules mixed with cocoa butter to make a thick paste used as small vaginal boluses the size of the end of your finger helps to heal the fibroids (refrigerate until use).
Endometriosis, which is the second leading cause of hysterectomies, involves the growth of the estrogen-sensitive uterine lining tissue outside of the uterus. This tissue acts just like it would inside the uterus causing bleeding, painful periods, pelvic pain, bowel disturbances and cramps. As with fibroids, a good place to start is reducing xenoestrogens by avoiding them, supplements to down-regulate and liver detoxification.
