This was the first family session since losing my husband—and it was full of emotions. I held it together until their sweet daughter told me she was sad she’d never get to meet him and that he never came with me to sessions. 💔

I cried in my car, realizing I wouldn’t be calling him on the way home like I always used to. I cried while editing (happy tears) because I was grateful to capture their love in this moment. And then I cried (sad tears) for what I’ve lost.

Shooting right now is complicated—it brings both joy and grief. For that reason, I’m still keeping a very limited schedule as I focus on healing and my mental health. I will absolutely let everyone know when I’m ready to take on more.

Thank you all so much for your love and support these past 6 months. It has truly meant the world. ❤️

I absolutely love that I get to document and immortalize love for a living. 💕 Thank you to all my beautiful clients who have blessed me with such wonderful love stories to carry with me all my life.
