The Pennsylvania State Police Troop C - Punxsutawney Station continues their investigation on missing person 64-year-old Ronald Westover who was last seen on 03/05/05 but wasn't reported missing until 12/28/05.
In September of 2004 Westover told certain members of his family his cancer had returned and the doctor had given him 6 months to 1 year to live. Westover told the family he wasn’t going through treatments.
In January of 2005 Westover left the area after giving his mother a long letter detailing extensive traveling he planned on doing with several friends. Westover related he was not happy living in the area and was not getting along with his brother, Curtis Westover.
Westover retuned in February of 2005 and explained one of his friend’s that he was traveling with in Jamaica had become sick and he returned with her to New York.
Westover remained in the area until 03/05/05. During that time he signed his house and car over to his nephew, along with power of attorney.
In early March of 2005 Westover told his family he was going to catch a bus from Punxsutawney to Montreal, Canada to see some friends and then take a train trip across Canada.
His nephew drove Ronald from the Westover residence to Burnside where Ronald wanted to get a few items from his house. Ronald told his nephew that he didn’t need a ride from there as he arraigned transportation. This was the last time anyone in the family spoke to Ronald Westover.
