🎈Last night’s Community Conversations reminded us what makes the 1st & 6th Wards so special: neighbors and partners showing up for one another.

Together, we discussed how we can continue supporting the families affected by the recent fires while working alongside community partners to meet immediate and long-term needs. We also spent time planning for Sheridan Elementary’s Back to School Block Party and Youth Rally this August, sharing ideas and setting goals to make it a meaningful event for this community.

To celebrate the summer season and the neighbors who continue to invest their time and energy into making a difference, we wrapped up the evening with a visit from an ice cream truck.

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, support one another, and remind us that WE > ME. 🍦❤️

We're proud to see our Workforce Readiness Program featured in The Morning Call.

This program is helping Allentown residents build the skills, confidence, and connections needed to enter the workforce and take the next step toward their goals. Congratulations to our first cohort of graduates for all they've accomplished, and thank you to our partners for investing in opportunity.

‘It lifts and supports you’: How a new Lehigh Valley program is helping Allentown residents find work Seven Allentown residents graduated on Wednesday from a new workforce readiness program designed to teach life skills as well as prepare participants for job readiness.

Due to the Allentown School District's holiday closure, our 1st & 6th Ward Community Conversations will happen on Thursday, July 9th at 6:00 PM at Sheridan Elementary School.

This month's gathering will provide space for neighbors to come together and talk about how we can best support the families and community members affected by the recent fires in this neighborhood. Community has always been at the heart of these conversations, and we believe that by listening, sharing ideas, and working together, we can help care for one another during difficult times.
