Specialized Risk Team

Mississippi College rolled out their first cybersecurity summit on April 11th to an audience of nearly 300 participants. The summit was sponsored by companies such as: EdgeTheory, PureStorage, and NextStep Innovation to name a few. Presentations were from the academic community as well as the private and government sectors. The agenda consisted of discussions surrounding cloud computing, digital forensics, bitcoin and cryptocurrency, pe*******on testing of corporate and government systems, and others. Ms. Alarid, of Specialized Risk, presented on national security risks related to social media and terrorist use of the internet.
