Allen Quilters' Guild

Allen Quilters Guild awarded 2 Quilts of Valor on June 5 at Allen Senior Recreation Center to Howard G, US Air Force and Albert S, US Navy & Vietnam Veteran. Quilts were made by Betty Matthews who nominated Howard. Carol B. Presented Albert’s quilt which was pieced by the Allen Senior Quilters. Thank you for your service to our country!

Carol B, Betty M and Elaine R, members of the Allen Quilters Guild awarded Corp 1st Class Merle C. United States Marine Corp, his Quilt of Valor on his 100th Birthday. His son and daughter helped wrap him in his quilt. Present were 180 plus friends of his to help celebrate.

His quilt reflects our nations 250 Anniversary. It was pieced by Elaine R. and quilted by Debra MR.
