To help keep our facility clean and support our concession area, a $35 outside food fee will apply for any hot foods brought into the waterpark (including pizza and similar items). 🍕🌭🍗

Grateful for the opportunity to bring the 504 Home Repair Program to Jim Wells County alongside USDA Representative Mr. Teeter and Ms. Romo, and to work with leaders who truly care about their community.

With the support and openness of our Judge and Commissioners Court, we were able to host an informational session that was very well attended, with nearly 100 community members taking part to learn about resources available to help improve and repair their homes.

A special thank you to REAL Transportation for providing free rides to our citizens, helping ensure access for those who otherwise may not have been able to attend. Thank you also to Alice Rotary, Coastal Plains, Commissioner Gonzalez Pct. 4, Commissioner Garcia Pct. 2, Commissioner Aguilar Pct. 1, and Texas A&M AgriLife County Extension Agent Rogelio Mercado for showing up, helping, and supporting this important effort.

Opportunities like this remind us of the importance of partnerships in Community and Economic Development. When local leadership, community organizations, and residents come together, real impact happens.

This is exactly why I am proud to serve as the Prairie View A&M University Community & Economic Development Extension Agent for Jim Wells County, connecting people with resources, education, and opportunities that make a lasting difference.
