Just turned 29. ❤️ 28 was 27, upgraded with independence and self-sufficiency. I think I'm doing the adulting stuff pretty alright.

Yesterday, I turned 28.

At 27, I continued building upon my responsibility of coaching 13 private students, 8 group classes, and a phenomenal high school Speech team of 19 speakers, in honing their voices in the world of public speaking and performing arts. Safe to say, I don't sleep much, but if there's any reason to keep my eyes open, it's to see a student discover the power they have when they speak. It's to question why it was ever held back at all. It's to see them take up the space they are owed.

I love teaching speech. I hate how little stories I have to catch up with friends and family that don't relate to my students. I struggle between the need for balance and the righteousness of sacrifice, but I'm typically happy and always fulfilled. I think I'm doing alright. I'm enjoying this chapter.
