🚨 IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL: Nara Organics Infant Formula 🚨
Parents and caregivers, please read and share this urgent update:
Nara Organics is issuing a voluntary recall on ALL cans of its powdered infant formula after three confirmed or suspected cases of infant botulism were reported. The affected infants (in CA, WA, and PA) were hospitalized but thankfully no deaths have been reported.
The formula was sold at Target stores, target.com, and nara.com between July 2025 and June 2026.
🔍 SPECIFIC LOT NUMBERS LINKED TO THE CASES:
• 709125280E14F2
• 709125288E14F2
• 708125174E14F2
(Note: While these specific lots were tied to the illnesses, the company is pulling ALL products currently on the market out of caution).
⚠️ SYMPTOMS TO WATCH FOR:
Infant botulism is rare but serious. Symptoms include constipation, poor feeding, weak sucking/swallowing, drooping eyelids, low muscle tone (floppiness), a weak cry, and breathing difficulties. Seek medical care immediately if your baby shows these signs.
🛑 WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
• If you have UNOPENED cans: Throw them away or return them.
• If you have an OPENED can: STOP using it immediately. Take a picture of the lot number/use-by date.
• Important Tip: Consider keeping the opened formula in a safe place labeled "DO NOT USE" for at least a month. If your infant develops symptoms, health officials may want to test it. If no symptoms appear after a month, discard it.
💰 REFUNDS & RETURNS:
• Nara website orders from May and June 2026 will be automatically refunded. Others can request a refund via their website.
• Target customers can return the product to Target stores for a refund.
Note: Nara Organics makes up less than 1% of the U.S. formula market, so no formula shortages are expected from this recall.
