Keep your hands warm and grip the ball like suction !!

Before serving, point your feet, hips, and torso in the direction you intend to serve the ball, as practiced in training. Point the hand holding the ball towards the area or player you want to aim at and visualize the ball landing in that area. Don’t try to serve in a different direction than where your body points to “fake-out” or trick the other team as this rarely works and ends up distracting you from properly balancing your footwork and arm swing, increasing the chances of serving out of the court (which is bad!).

Your “FOCUS BUBBLE”
When I talk about RESET with players I speak about a state called the FOCUS BUBBLE. I ask players to imagine they are inside a bubble - this is something you can try yourself.

When you are inside this bubble you are focused, composed, strong and confident. Outside distractions don’t bother you and you are simply able to compete with presence.

When you get distracted and lose your focus you come out of the FOCUS BUBBLE.

To get back into it, where you can perform at your best you must move through the stages of the RESET process.
