It's a beautiful thing when you evolve in your relationship personally and especially alongside the person you love. It's also pretty easy to lose sight of small bits of yourself, or even huge chunks of yourself in a relationship, and in some cases, you just find yourself complacent in an unhealthy situation. Losing sight of who you are in a relationship shouldn’t ever happen. Yes, you bend and stretch yourself to meet your partner in new spaces, spaces that help you grow in your relationship. You should invest in the growth of your relationship with your partner. Just don't lose sight of who you are in the process.

Maintaining a strong sense of self is so important. Making sure you are creating space to love yourself too, not only your partner matters. Prioritizing relationships with friends and family outside of your relationship is a great way to keep a healthy balance also. 🔐

This is for sure something we are trying to be more conscious of.

We are Sam and Sadé, two women taking on life together, IN LOVE–– so in love. We are a Black q***r couple who have a passion for all things travel-related — exploring, learning, eating, getting lost, and finding ourselves over and over again. While travel may look a *little* different these days, our dedication to navigating through life mindfully and consciously together is as important as ever.

We initially connected on the ideas of living life in unconventional ways, rejecting the standards of society. We wanted to go against the grain in so many ways. It was refreshing to find a partner who didn't think your ideas of what a fulfilling life looked like were outlandish or irresponsible, but inspiring and completely in alignment with theirs. We try to stay grounded in our beliefs and values keeping "us" at the center of all the decisions we make. We are so happy that you decided to join us on our journey to creating a beautiful life together.
