Kindness and generosity have the power to change lives. At Community Lodgings, we see it every day, when a child discovers confidence in the classroom, when a parent feels the relief of safe housing, and when families begin to believe in brighter tomorrows.

For many families, daily life is filled with challenges that can make it hard to feel safe or supported. That’s why having a place to turn to, a place of stability, care, and hope matters so deeply.

We’re grateful for the volunteers, donors, and neighbors who make this possible. Thanks to your support, we're building a community where every family has the chance to thrive.

We're honored to have been awarded a $25,000 grant through the 2026 Inova Community Health Opportunities program in support of our NextUp Career Readiness Track.

This 30-week program supports teens in our Youth Education Program through career exploration, workforce readiness training, and individualized career planning led by an experienced vocational coach. Students will engage in group sessions, one-on-one coaching, industry exposure, and a final capstone presentation showcasing their career goals and pathways.

Through partnerships with organizations including Inova, the Electricians Union, Dreams2Degrees, and local colleges, students gain meaningful exposure to healthcare, trades, and post-secondary pathways.

Thank you Inova for investing in opportunities that help young people build confidence, clarity, and readiness for life after high school.

What an exciting day for our Youth Education Program students at the Clipper Round the World Race event!

Students had the unique opportunity to meet and talk with crew members from several race teams, learning firsthand about life at sea, teamwork, leadership, and the incredible journey of sailing around the world. They also toured the Washington, DC yacht, giving them an up-close look at one of the impressive vessels participating in the race.

The fun didn't stop there! Students enjoyed live performances, explored the event, and topped off the day with free ice cream from Kilwins. 🍦

Experiences like these help broaden horizons, spark curiosity, and create lasting memories. We are grateful for the opportunity to expose our students to new adventures and learning experiences beyond the classroom.

We are thrilled to share that Community Lodgings' 21st Annual Fundraiser, Under the Stars, raised an amazing $90,000 to support local families on their journey from homelessness and instability to independence and self-sufficiency. 🌟

This achievement would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, board members, staff, and community supporters who believe in our mission. Every dollar raised helps provide affordable housing, transitional housing, and youth education programs that create brighter futures for the families we serve.
