Mind The Frontline

🚨 Sometimes the warning lights are not on the dashboard. They are in our routines, our coping, and the things we do to make it through the shift or the night.
This self-check is not about shame. It is about honesty.
For a lot of us in fire, EMS, law enforcement, dispatch, military, and healthcare, alcohol can start looking like stress relief when it is really becoming an escape. That does not make you weak. It makes you human. But it does mean it may be time to pay attention.
If you answered yes to 2 or more on the self-assessment below, treat it like a warning light. Talk to someone you trust. Reach out early. Make a plan before it gets louder.

- Alcoholics Anonymous: Find A.A. near you at aa.org/find-aa

- SAMHSA National Helpline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357) for free, confidential, 24/7 treatment referral and information

You do not have to wait until things fall apart to ask for help.
Human first. Responder always.

We are really excited to share some great news with our Utah first responders and healthcare workers.
Mind the Frontline’s Medical Director, Natalie Townsend, continues to grow a practice built by clinicians who truly understand this work and now she is welcoming another incredible provider to the team.
Jodi Walker, CMHC, has joined Positive Process Counseling and brings years of experience working with first responders and their families.
These are clinicians who get it. They understand the weight of the job, the trauma we carry, and the unique stressors we face every day.
Jodi works with PTSD and trauma, addiction and recovery, ADHD, mood disorders, burnout, and major life transitions. Her approach is grounded, compassionate, and informed by real experience with the first responder community. She is currently licensed in Utah and paneled with SelectHealth, with more insurance options on the way.
If you have been thinking about reaching out for support, this may be your sign. Help exists. You do not have to carry everything alone.
You can contact the office directly at 435-592-4150 or visit www.natalietownsend.org to get started or join the priority waitlist.
We are grateful to continue building trusted resources for those who serve others every day.
