Absolutely loved working alongside my son on this two-bus move with a wonderful group of humans from Jamestown, North Dakota.
The lead teacher and his wife were a joy, the students were engaged, the parents were fun, and we had an outstanding World Classrooms team.
The best part for me, though, was getting to be teammates with Seth. Getting to partner with him and watching him do what he does so well made this trip one I'll always remember.
Now I have a little time off until after the Fourth of July. My heart is very full... and my brain and my feet are very tired. ❤️ Time to rest.
Today, while at Mount Vernon with my group, I took a few minutes to watch the beginning of my husband's first live television interview on C-SPAN.
It felt a little surreal to be at George Washington's home while watching him discuss current events on national television - especially because we've always been told that he took his first steps as a toddler on Mount Vernon's back lawn.
Neither of us could have imagined that one day he'd be appearing on national television while I was introducing students to the place where he began walking.
I'd say he's spent those years walking with purpose. ❤️
