GRIND.

Let people be. Then decide how you want to show up in there lives and how they will. show up in yours.

Social media has overly exposed us to one another thinking we have a say in how someone chooses to live their lives. We don’t.

We try to give people a role to play based off our projections, misplaced expectations and life experiences. If you’ve had bad dating experiences maybe you try to control everything that person does. Making them into your “picture perfect” partner. Over analyzing what they do. Telling them how they should do this and that with you.

For parents it can be projecting your insecurities of who you wished you were onto your children (pro athlete, actor, successful business person). Let people be.

These are some of the most common examples. No one has to be who YOU think they should be. Focus on you. Worry about you. Be attentive with you. No one has to fit your idea of who they should be. People become a better version of themselves when they are lived and appreciated properly. Not when we project our fears onto them.

It is unfair to you and them to live up to whatever expectations may be placed on someone. Figure out who you are as a person so you’re not trying to change everyone else. Be you do you. Accept people for who they are. Then decide how you want to show up.

If you had to read that twice that’s fine, it hit different.

Whatever you are NOT changing you are CHOOSING to deal with it.

- Relationship issues
- Addictions (I know that one may hit hard)
- People pleasing
- Money Problems
- Communicating
- Avoiding your feelings
- Dating issues
- Your job
- Your current residence
- The state/city you’re in
- Health issues
- Fitness

……stop “just dealing” with things that are harming you and do something about it. Change your life for the better. Be disciplined. Make the sacrifice. Remain consistent.

It can be difficult to hear you are your own mountain. You are the one who has been keeping you from your happiness.

But the beautiful thing about it…..you can also change your life around. You’re that powerful. I believe you and I’m proud of you. Look how far you’ve come in life..
