When I say “nonperishable,” of course treats are great for everyone, but please also think about beans and rice, oats, canned tomatoes, dried milk, and canned meats. These are the kinds of foods that always help and are good to have set aside.

My great grandmothers lived through the Depression, and right now, whatever chaos is coming from the government or the corporations that control our food supply, the only way we will get through it is by getting through it together.
