When Selling a Home Means More Than a Real Estate Transaction

Recently, I had the opportunity to assist Sellers who relocated out of state to be closer to family. Because returning to New Mexico wasn’t practical for them, I took care of the details here so they could focus on their next chapter.

From coordinating the removal and disposal of the remaining household items, to arranging for the home to be cleaned and prepared for market, I managed each step of the process. I marketed the property, guided the Sellers through the transaction, and once we were under contract, negotiated and coordinated the buyer-requested repairs through closing.

The Sellers were able to complete the entire process without ever having to return to New Mexico!!!

No, being a Realtor isn't all glamor! We do the jobs that need to be done. This week, it was relocating a desert tortoise living under the deck of a home I just put under contract. Pete and I researched and created a wonderful tortoise trap. Final touches required rocks to stabilize and build up the sides. To that end, I scoured the yard for rocks, when lo and behold, we found him tucked in the corner munching on ants. He is now rehomed enjoying worms. ❤️
