Running in a group can help improve mood, reduce stress, and support mental health. Research shows that regular physical activity like running is associated with lower symptoms of depression and anxiety, better emotional well-being, and improved stress regulation. Mental Health and Technology - Part I: Mental Health and AI:

AI is becoming a big part of how we think about mental health - offering both real support and real risks. On the positive side, AI can be accessible 24/7, offering instant support, companionship, and guidance when people need it most. It can even help improve efficiency in mental health care. (Wei, M. (n.d.)). But there’s another side. Overuse can lead to emotional dependence, social isolation, and even addictive behavior. In some cases, AI may reinforce harmful thoughts or fail to respond safely to serious mental health concerns, where human empathy and professional care are essential. (Fuller, 2025). It is important to note that AI should not be a replacement for real connection. Our monthly Tea Circle's create a welcoming space for social connection and relationship-building while also offering resources on various topics like how to navigate technology and mental health.

We were very excited to have such a successful Tea Circle and YCAC session on Saturday, March 28th. It was an intergenerational session with a community-led discussion on parenting in the digital age followed by a tree planting activity outside in the warm sun!
