Hunger is a reality for far too many families across New Mexico.
According to Roadrunner Food Bank, New Mexico ranked 4th in the nation for food insecurity in 2025. While the national food insecurity rate is 14.3%, New Mexico’s rate is 16.6%, and 23% of children in our state experience food insecurity compared to the national average of 19.2%.
At Steelbridge, we’re committed to being part of the solution. Through our Resource Center, we provide food boxes to families in need, and during our weekly Witness Walks, we distribute food bags to individuals experiencing homelessness. We have also shared over 600,000 pounds of food with 33 ministries and organizations serving our community.
Every meal shared is an opportunity to bring hope, encouragement, and remind someone they are not alone. If you or someone you know is struggling to put food on the table, we’re here to help. Contact our office to learn more about our Resource Center.

In the 2025 fiscal year, Steelbridge received 718,154 pounds of food and distributed 648,169 pounds to our community, as well as many other ministries and organizations serving those in need.
We couldn’t have done this without your help. Thank you for helping us be the hands and feet of Christ and for making a difference in so many lives.
If you or someone you know needs a food box, please reach out to us for more information on how to receive one. We are here to help.

Before coming to Steelbridge, my life felt like a roller coaster, fast, upside down, and constantly changing directions. While I was incarcerated, I heard about Steelbridge as an alternative to being released back into the public. I had given my life to Jesus in 2019, and I knew I had reached a point where I had to choose between life and death. That choice led me to Steelbridge.
In 2019, I felt God nudging my heart, and since then I have wanted to remain in His care forever. Meeting my sisters in Christ here has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life and is something I will always carry with me. I look forward to serving both the Steelbridge community and the community beyond these walls.
One of my goals after leaving Steelbridge is to remain faithful to Jesus Christ and the Holy Trinity. Steelbridge has helped me grow in my faith, and my hope is to learn how to live in victory. This is my third time here, and they have never turned their backs on me.
I want to share that Jesus Christ is alive. He is real, and He is my best friend. Jesus will help you with everything you need. You only have to ask Him.
If you are thinking about coming to Steelbridge but are not sure, especially if you have tried every other option and nothing has changed, know this. You never realize that Jesus Christ is all you need until Jesus Christ is all you have.

Behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a story.
In 2025, more than 800 lives were lost to substance abuse. Our hearts are with every family and loved one who has experienced that kind of loss.
Every promotion, every graduation, and every life transformed reminds us that recovery is possible. These men and women represent courage, perseverance, and hope.
Together, we can offer hope, healing, and a path forward. Visit mysteelbridge.org to learn more about our year long recovery program and how you can be part of the solution.
