Today is the feast day of St. Isidro the Farmer, our patron saint, here at The Catholic Foundation. Through the intercession of Blessed Isidro, we may find the example of patience and humility and walk so faithfully in his footsteps. Our Lady of Fátima refers to the Virgin Mary as she is believed to have appeared to three shepherd children in Fátima, Portugal, in 1917. In these apparitions, she delivered messages of prayer, repentance, and conversion, urging devotion to God and the Rosary, especially in response to the turmoil of the world. She is closely associated with themes of peace, sacrifice, and hope.
