"Hi! If we haven’t met my name is Liana Wingerd. I am the current NMRID board secretary. The role of the secretary is to monitor email for important information and pass along to the appropriate communication channel for disbursement (social media or member email blasts). I also prepare the agenda and minutes for each meeting and make sure the minutes are accurate before they are posted to the website. I also provide more general support for other kinds of communication relating to events and efforts from the organization such as making flyers or registration links for events similar to Members at Large and Vice President in their work with the same. The board all works together to support each other in various capacities.

You should join the NMRID board! It’s a wonderful opportunity to network and build on your efforts in the community. The NM interpreting community relies on NMRID in many ways for workshops, CEU processing, scholarships, and more. Criteria to run for the board:
Must be an NMRID member in good standing for the current fiscal year
Must hold a valid New Mexico Signed Language Interpreting License

Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Member-at-large (3 total MALs)
