New Mexico Ramp Project

In a remarkable week of service and teamwork, young volunteers from Round Rock FUMC youth group, partnered with the New Mexico Ramp Project to build 10 wheelchair accessible ramps in and around Las Cruces. Working alongside experienced ramp building crews, the volunteers dedicated their time and energy to improving accessibility for residents with mobility challenges.

The week long effort provided greater independence, safety, and quality of life for individuals and families throughout the community. Beyond the physical impact of the ramps themselves, the project offered the young volunteers a valuable opportunity to develop practical skills, strengthen teamwork, and experience the rewards of community service firsthand.

This partnership demonstrates how collaboration across communities can create meaningful change. By combining the enthusiasm of youth volunteers from Round Rock with the expertise and mission of the New Mexico Ramp Project, 10 families in the Las Cruces area received life changing accessibility improvements in just one week. The project stands as a testament to the power of volunteerism, service, and a shared commitment to helping neighbors live more independently.
