Brain Body Science
An easy habit to help our brains is often overlooked: drinking water!
Keep a water bottle with you through your day, and try to drink at least a cup of water every hour. The exact amount of water you need depends on your weight and activity level, but as a general rule, aim for 12 cups a day.
If you don’t like the taste of plain water, adding some fruit to it can be a healthy way to boost the flavor.
Your brain (and the rest of your body) needs a lot of water to function at its best. If you start feeling foggy or irritable, try drinking some and see if you feel any better. You just might!
Symptoms of burnout start small. You feel tired when you shouldn’t, your patience is thinner, and you begin to feel overwhelmed. Don’t wait for things to get even worse. In our next post, we’ll talk about how to heal from burnout.
Are you experiencing any of these signs?
