It's with pride that we share the news that Valerie Alexander-Mosely -- an advocate for economic and social justice in Albany -- was honored over the weekend with the 7th Henry Johnson Award for Distinguished Community Service. “May the work I’ve done speak for me," Valerie said, and her devotion to affordable homes and rentals over 25 years does just that. Thank you to City Gardener Jena Commerford and City of Albany Department of General Services for their support on the Love Your Block projects! They have made it possible to distribute tomato, eggplant and pepper plants to residents in the South End, West Hill and other neighborhoods and organizations such as Eden’s Rose and Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region Food Pantry. They have also cleared refuse from clean-ups and provided equipment necessary to undertake several of our projects with the .
