With God’s help, I broke the Sprint Aqua Bike course record at Saturday’s Hudson Valley Triathlon.

It was a great day, and I’m thankful for all the encouragement and support, especially from my Beloved Lisa Luce, who always tells me to “Go Crush It!” I really am having the time of my life. - July 2023

I feel very honored that USA Triathlon selected me for their Winter 2022 magazine issue. It means a great deal to me and my triathlon career. Quite frankly, I’m pretty much blown away.

The caption inside the magazine reads, “Dr. Tom Denham of Delmar, New York, races (and enthusiastically poses for the camera) at the 2021 Toyota USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships last August in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.”

I hope my unbridled enthusiasm will inspire you to go for your goals whatever they may be. With God’s help, all things are possible even at the ripe age of 55, and I’m just getting started!!!

BTW – I owe everything to my coach, mentor and Bestie, Sarah Vogel, who taught me everything I needed to know about triathlons!!!

I’m looking forward to crushing it again this August when I return to Nationals for the second time.

PS: This is magazine cover is nothing. Wait until this spring when Fisher-Price is scheduled to release my action figure “Tommy Triathlon” (some assembly required; appropriate for ages 55 and older; requires adult supervision). Be on the lookout!
