MISS ALBANY DINER
After a long delay, we are in search of an appropriate publisher for the cookbook who can help us organize it correctly. Should you have any contact information, we would greatly appreciate it.
Stephen La Pierre, our cook at the diner for many years and a friend for even longer, has suffered a stroke. He is in recovery at Albany Medical Center. While doctors are optimistic about his recovery, he has a long road ahead.
With that in mind, to cheer him and keep up his spirits, cards can be sent directly to Albany Medical Center in his hame.
His friends are all working hard to help give him the assistance he will need . As this will put him out of work for some time, there will be fundraisers in the near future as soon as they can be organized and of course, including something extra in your card would not be unappreciated.
At the very least, we would like him to be reminded of all the people he made friends with while working at the Miss Albany Diner. Updates will be posted whenever possible.
We are now putting the Miss A cookbook together. If you have photos and/or stories you would like to contribute, send them to [email protected]
Photos should be 300 dpi. And Thank You for your support.
The Miss Albany Diner is now Sciortino's. Nicely upgraded, excellent food and now serving beer and wine. And a very friendly waitstaff. You should visit.
had it's final Brunch today. A Big Thank You to all who came down this weekend to say goodbye. It was great seeing so many friendly faces. We will miss being able to visit with you every week but perhaps we'll see you all on the other side of the counter somewhere else.

They are an integral part of the Miss Albany whose dedication and hard work made the effort of running the diner so much easier. We are very grateful that they have chosen to stay with us for so long. May they all find great success in whatever they choose to do.
