Must have post workout selfie 🤪
It's been way too long since my last workout.
I was seriously THAT depressed over my cat being sick and dying!? Yep. He was my world. His snuggles helped me through a divorce, dealing with sick kids, and everything else life through at me.
I stopped eating good.
I stopped drinking enough water.
I stopped exercising.
I stopped working toward my goals.
I lost me.
Today I woke up and decided to climb back out of my shell and get on with it. NO ONE can work toward my goals for me. I need to put in the work.
Did I gain weight? Pfft. Don't care. The only number I worry about is living a LOOOOONG life. I have enough 💩 going on in my life. I don't need to be worrying about how much I weigh and neither do you!

The program I'm doing I would NEVER have pressed play on it on my own. My coach said "I believe in you. Just modify it." DUH! 🤦🏻♀️ Brain fart moment.

Who the hell invented burpees anyway???
Start slow and graduate to the correct form. Your muscles and joints are not ready to be jumping all around. As this move gets easier, squat lower then put your arms out in front of you then raise your arms as you move your foot straight behind you. Dont kick the dog 🤦🏻♀️

Grab a mirror or record yourself doing this move. It's so important to keep your belly button drawn to your spine, tailbone tucked under and moving your feet straight back-not out to the side. You'll be surprised what you think you are doing and what you are actually doing.
I didnt mention in the video that you also need to push your knees outward. We have a tendency to let them fall together. Another reason I have knocked knees 🙈

There's no need to Jump! Jumping Jacks are designed to raise your heart rate, not strengthen your muscles. For this reason you can modify them to your ability to raise your heart rate and get the blood movin!
If this example raises your heart rate too high, put your hands on your hips and just move your feet. Still too high? Try keeping your feet still, shoulder width apart, and just move your arms ❤ This move can also be done seated

I LOVE when I get one on one time with my girl. She's growing up so fast. She'll be off to college soon (ok, not SOON, SOON, but soon lol) so I've been soaking up all sorts of Kenz time lately. She's even started working out with me ❤
I just hope one day she will look back and remember all of our great times together and not remember how sick I was.
Once I got my health on track it had a domino effect on my kids. They're happier! They're healthier! They're not watching me lay on the couch in pain all day long anymore. I might not be able to go kayaking just yet, but we get out of the house more, I'm on my feet, and I am actually cooking dinner everyday! That's huge! We relied on cereal and nuggets for a long time.
