Day 4 Love Heals: Meet Ryan! 🏳️‍🌈

“Coming out is really a remarkable thing for a person to do, and an experience I will be forever grateful for having. It takes self-discovery, it takes honesty, and it takes a tremendous amount of strength to bare such a personal truth in front of another person. For me, coming out was the end result of a long conversation I had in private with myself. I loved my life and I was afraid for it to change. I wondered if my feelings were real, if they were important, or if this was the kind of thing that really strong people should just cover up and soldier through. In the end, the strong pull towards the truth won out. I remember how exposed I felt the first time I told a friend that I was gay. I had heard about the hard times so many people have had coming out of the closet. What I wasn't prepared for was how overwhelming it would be to have all of my fear in that moment met simply with love. I was so lucky to have friend after friend, family member after family member listen to me tell the truth about myself and just hug me, hold my hand, love me. Not everyone has this experience, but if you listen when someone tells you something true about themselves, and you meet them with love, more people can.”

Meet Tahlesa!

Hello! I’m Tahlesa. Mom of 3, wife to my amazing high school sweet heart, And business owner of my At Home Cake Business K3 Cakery. I’m from Albany NY, but have moved my family to Florida for a new start! About 2 and half years ago I took the steps to start my business. It’s a craft I’ve gravitated towards since I was a little girl watching my Grandmother from my Birthdays to holidays and everything in between! I’ve gained my experience through school culinary class, working in and out of different in store bakeries and trial and error at home! After years of thought, friends, family and my husband telling me to go for it, I finally I gained the confidence to do so! After having my last baby and finally finding the time to follow what I wanted to do most ! Start an at home cake business ! I took the leap and it’s been the best decision for me by far ! I’ve taken on challenges with flavors , design and everything in between to gain as much experience as I can ! I never say no to a learning opportunity! Since then I have amazingly become well known in not only my town but surrounding towns! Giving this cake lady the confidence boost to keep going! My goal is to gain as much recognition as I can in my town and my business pages and TikTok. I want to eventually own my own little at home shack to bake out of. Just a Momma Building an empire for her babies. Something to call my own and have them be proud of. My Babies would have to be the biggest inspiration in my heart to start my Business! As the name of my business , K3 stands for my 3 babies , Kiarah, Kayleana and Kaileb . The legacy I’m building (hopefully) will be theirs 💗💜💙🤞🤞🤞
