Every year during SELCO Steps Up Celebration Week, we surprise our in-branch members with treats while also hosting a vote to support a local nonprofit.

We’re excited to kick things off by sharing this year’s winners—and shining a light on the incredible work they do in our communities! 💛

Our first in-branch winner comes from our Albany Branch. After counting the votes, ABC House has been selected! As a Children’s Advocacy Center, ABC House is dedicated to breaking the cycle of child abuse and neglect—and making a lasting difference for children and families. They’ve received a $2,500 donation from SELCO to support their mission.

Every number has a name. According to Oregon Child Abuse Solutions, 7,895 children across Oregon walk through the doors of a Children's Advocacy Center each year for concerns of abuse and neglect. Behind every one of those numbers is a child who deserves safety, healing, and hope. At ABC House, we provide high-quality assessments and support services for children and families in Linn and Benton Counties. because no child should have to navigate the crisis of abuse alone. 💙 What an incredible morning!

We visited Lebanon High School's Community 101 leadership class today, and we are so grateful to share that ABC House received $2,500 from their student-led grant program, funded by the Oregon Community Foundation.

These students chose to invest in the children of Linn County, and that means the world to us. Thank you, Lebanon High School, for reminding us why hope always starts here. 🧡

Other recipients included CASA for Linn County, Liberty House, Linn-Benton Food Share, and Dala's Blue Angels.
