Day two in the books!

Today our main focuses included Nutrition & Wellness and Backstroke.

Outside the pool, we learned about the proper way to fuel our bodies before, during, and after meets and practices. We then learned about the importance of wellness, and taking care of ourselves outside of the water. This was then paired it with a fun activity!

The campers moved to the water and learned all there is to know about backstroke. They gained knowledge in new drills and through this, they were able to find a backstroke that they felt comfortable with. The campers finished up the day with some dry land, more videotaping and some time outdoors!

Day one complete!

Today's main focuses included freestyle and the importance of goals both in and out of the pool. We learned the "SMART" goal setting technique which was followed by each camper creating their own "goal" sheet.

In the water, we emphasized the importance of freestyle technique incorporating different skills and drills, videotaping of each campers stroke, and put them to the test with a mini set!
