A fun, stylish and organized space for homework - also a backdrop for Zoom calls - which is what inspired the design for this space (on the opposite wall is my client’s desk). This area is designated for the kids to study, do homework, etc. My client wanted a clean space with minimal clutter, but still appealing to the kids. This was the end result. Scroll through to see the before and during. I take EVERYTHING out, sort, declutter and organize. Lots of post-it notes for my client to see what they have, and how much! We donated a lot and stored most of the art/craft materials in a closet.

This week’s highlight is vertical storage. Stacking or nesting multiple pots or pans can be inconvenient and hard to maneuver if the pots are heavy - especially when you need the one on the bottom! Vertical dividers allow for easy access to what you need, and eliminate the need to take off the top items to get to the bottom. If you’re short on space you can still store lighter items in front of the dividers (see the last photo) - moving one light item is much easier then unstacking and re-stacking.

The process of moving your pots and pans into vertical dividers will allow you to determine which ones you really don’t use. You can donate these items instead of taking up space in your cabinets.
