These are often called “Pittsburgh toilets” or “workman’s toilets.” 🧻
Back in the day (1930s and earlier), homeowners—many of whom worked dirty jobs in factories or construction—would come home and clean up in the basement before going upstairs. These toilets were meant to keep the mess downstairs and the main home clean.

No walls. No sink. No privacy. Just function. 💩
Plumbers loved them because they tied right into the main sewer line in the basement—quick, easy, and cheap.

It’s a quirky piece of history you still find in older homes across New York State!

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for various HVAC duct cleaning tasks. You will be working with a variety of tools and equipment to ensure the proper cleaning and maintenance of HVAC ducts. No prior experience is required as we provide thorough on-the-job training. However, the ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual, and committed to learning new skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

Setting up and operating negative air machines.
Blocking off registers to facilitate duct cleaning processes.
Using basic tools such as compressors and drills for duct cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Participating in training sessions to learn and implement new techniques and procedures.
