First 5 Alameda County

Today, our Help Me Grow 🌼 program held a Connection Cafe event to facilitate networking and peer-to-peer learning for service providers who work with children and families. Events like these help build stronger and more coordinated systems and foster a shared understanding of early child development among family-serving providers.

Thank you to all who attended - we loved seeing so many friendly faces this morning! 🙌

The goals of Día de Los Libros are to:

📚 Celebrate children and connect them to the world of learning through books, stories and libraries.

🏡 Nurture cognitive and literacy development in ways that honor and embrace a child’s home language and culture.

🌱 Introduce families to community resources that provide opportunities for learning through multiple literacies.

💪 Recognize and respect culture, heritage and language as powerful tools for strengthening families and communities.

This Autism Acceptance Month, we’re sharing stories that celebrate neurodiversity and the different ways children's sensory processes work!
