Pugfest Akron Joins Forces with Dogtoberfest

Clarification added! We will be using the beutiful LOCK 4 for Pug Fest and Dogtoberfest will be a food and beer focused event at Lock 3 The two events will be near each other but separated and using some shared amenities. I hope our pug owners and admirers will enjoy the new venue!

Akron, OH - Pugfest Akron is thrilled to announce its partnership with Dogtoberfest, a fun-filled event organized by Stray Dog and Oddmall, and sponsored by Thirsty Dog Beer. Taking place on September 13, 2025, 11-5 at Lock 3 Park in Downtown Akron! Dogtoberfest promises an exciting day with food trucks, live music, entertaining games, and a .5k dog walk benefiting the Ohio Pug Rescue.

Pugfest Akron will maintain a strong presence at the event, highlighting its beloved pug community with an annual group photo opportunity. Additional festivities will include:

- "Akron's Best Bratwurst" cook-off
- Beer Stein Holding Contest
- Window Licking Races for dogs
- On-site tattoos featuring dogs
- Build your own hot links for dogs and people station
-Dog/ Owner group Costume Contest
