Akron Police Major Crimes Unit detectives are asking for help identifying persons of interest in connection with the Highland Square shooting that occurred early Sunday morning on June 7, 2026.

Beginning today, Precision Pipeline and Enbridge Gas Ohio are working to replace an existing gas service that’s located across E. Market St. between Seiberling St. and Brittain Rd.

Traffic will be maintained in both directions but shifted as the work progresses across the street.

Drivers are urged to use caution while proceeding through this area.

This work is expected to be completed by Thursday, June 11th, and the pavement restoration is currently planned for early next week.
