To be in a room filled with visionaries, trailblazers, and entrepreneurs who are making a meaningful impact throughout Cleveland was truly inspiring. The evening was so much more than an elegant celebration—it was a beautiful reminder of the power of community, collaboration, and recognizing those who are using their gifts and talents to create opportunities for others.

A very special thank you to Dr. Tenora Edwards and the Pink and Black Honors team for creating a space that celebrates excellence while fostering connection, innovation, and growth. I left feeling inspired, grateful, and even more committed to continuing to serve through advocacy, education, and building meaningful relationships that strengthen our communities. We’re recognizing Juneteenth today and honoring our ancestors and community. Let’s continue to come together in various ways to support each other through, and put an end to, the continuous attacks on our community.

As a very young child, I learned the song ‘This Little Light of Mine’, but I wasn’t told that there are people who have created or play a role in systems designed to try to extinguish my light, which is also my power and freedom.

Experiencing, learning and truly understanding this throughout my life has been hurtful, but more than that has created a resilience that I will NEVER allow individuals against me to put out my light, lessen my power or take away my freedom.

Be empowered and remember that our Creator is always with us for eternity and has final say over what happens to our soul!💜
