"Check in" is one of many forms of recall commands Hagrid responds to when on a walk off leash. The main reason for "check in" is to ensure Hagrid knows where I am at all times and vise versa. Please follow/continue to follow my page for more recall command examples.
Today I took Luke with me when I went out to eat with my friend. Luke did amazing. He sat, laid down, and stayed even when the waitress came to the table, when our food came and as we were eating. I'm so proud of him.
Luke continues practicing "take," and "down, stay, and stand." Hagrid assisted Luke by showing him how it looks in one smooth motion. I took Luke to the store and did more public access training. We worked on "close," "front, sit, and stand" when looking at an item and "stand" when it was time to move. He did a great job at the store.
Today Luke did some public access training and he did great. Kelly and I also took Luke to a small restaurant and he was able to settle and lie down. Lastly, we took Luke to meet his veteran for the first time. Thank you to his family for participating in the surprise.
