As someone who's had complex trauma, I understand when you say that your past experience is not just a memory because you still feel it. This is what it feels like to be a survivor.
It's like when you put a band-aid on your wound and pull it off harshly. The more you do, the more it hurts. Pain is the same. The more you poke it, the more it hurts.
So, create your own toolbox for healing. Invest in therapy, get psychiatric help, heal your soul, and move your body.
Yes, moving your body is a powerful tool in recovering after a traumatic experience. My program, Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), is proven to help those who suffer from relational trauma, and/or emotional, sexual, and physical abuse.

Unlike medications, the benefits of regular meditation are immense. Think of it as your soul’s charger.
The more you spend time with yourself, the more you become present in the now. And when you’re mindful of what’s happening in the present, the more clarity you have to know and sense what’s right or wrong.
And when you have a clear sense of what’s good for you and what’s not, you make better decisions. Better decisions mean a brighter and more peaceful future.
My point is that the benefits of meditation cascade across different parts of your life. Whether you’re suffering from trauma or simply want a more organized life, it can help you in many ways.

While I was there, I tried my best to avert my eyes from the n**e women surrounding me. However, in order to enjoy the baths and other amenities, I must get naked. So I did.
No matter how uncomfortable it was, I removed my bikini top and bottoms and looked around. Everywhere, I saw women of different body shapes, ethnicities, and ages so carefully bathing themselves. I thought the view was simply beautiful and inspiring.
I then thought about living in fear because of my body issues. Why would I dwell on those things when I'm free to love myself and my body completely and safely?

Naked and Afraid CONFRONTING BODY IMAGE ISSUES Official Playlist: Click Here Recently I went to Spa Castle, a Korean Spa complete with pools, saunas, and baths. Before going, I read an online review about an optional experience where you are completely naked. I found myself very comforted by the word “optional,”...
