Chestnut Farm

Chestnut Farm was at NSHA a couple of weekends ago! It was a small show, but we were able to work on and practice things that were a great help!
Morgan Stevens and Indie Blue Sky earned top honors in showmanship, qh halter, qh hus, and qh western, with a reserve in English in hand! Rebecca Salina and Jonna Luke took home the blues in English horse in hand, ladies pleasure, and English pleasure, with reserves in showmanship and qh hus.
Overall a very nice day for Chestnut Farm!
We look forward to the next North Shore show in July!!

Chestnut Farm took on the HHRC annual June show last weekend! All horses and riders did amazingly and had a wonderful show!!

Indie Blue Sky and Morgan Stevens had beautiful rides thought out the day and took home the champion ribbon in a tough western pleasure class! Very wonderfully ridden! This is something they have been working very hard towards!! They also took home blues in the halter!

Jonna Luke and Rebecca Salina decided to be dressage queens for the day and take home the champion ribbons in English pleasure and ladies pleasure. Jonna wanted to strut those twinkle toes for the judge!

Siero and Ally Beckwith had their first show back after a break and had very beautiful rides! They earned a reserve championship in the adult pleasure!! They had some very relaxed and pleasant classes that were a treat to watch!! We were so happy to have you there!

We had a wonderful day with the amazing help of our barn friends and family. A huge thank you to Scott and Marlene Stevens to getting some happy horses there and home and running around like crazy to keep us on track and looking great! We are so so thankful for all of the amazing work they do to keep the horses happy and healthy, setting everything up, and making it all happen! It couldn’t be done without you!
Thank you to Gretchen for helping us throughout the day, coaching at the ringside, and giving us so many encouraging remarks. You make every moment something to learn from and you always know what to say. We’d have some very stressed out riders without you there.
Thank you to Mason for helping us tack up and holding the horses, doing everything we need so we don’t have to rush, making us all smile and laugh especially when we need it, and for bringing the music!!
And a big thank you to Courtney for cleaning the stalls, doing waters, and feeding the horses at home! We are so appreciative of your help and you make the end of the day so much smoother. We are so thankful for the care you give to the barn!!

We also went to NSHA this past Sunday and will be posting about it soon! We will also be going to SSHC this weekend and we can’t wait to see everyone there!!

Chestnut Farm went to Hanson Riding Club yesterday with some of our ponies who don’t show quite as often 💜 Morgan Stevens took Murphy’s Law out for a spin at 26 years old for a fun show! This old man has still got the moves!! He and Morgan were the winners in showmanship classes and top placings in pleasure and senior classes! Rebecca Salina took him in the spectator/groom class for quite the spectacle! Courtney Lee and Top Gun tried their hand at some showmanship and in hand trail classes and ended the day with reserve champion!! A fantastic job!! We also got to spend the day with our friend, Caroline Kilduff, and her new mini Picasso, who did wonderful the in hand and costume classes!
Such a fun day all around for Chestnut Farm!
