Our local region was recently severely affected by Hurricane Helene, along with much of the southeastern United States. However, we have already seen incredible community support form in response to this terrible natural disaster.

We strongly recommend supporting organizations that are helping people in situations like this. The United Way of Southwest Virginia, the Damascus Volunteer Rescue Squad, FEMA, the CARE Center in Greeneville TN, and Celebration Church in Blountville TN.

Please consider checking in with these organizations if you are able, they may have different needs and requirements to best serve the community but are all worth your support in this difficult moment.

This week, the Wize Solutions team packed 960 meals at the Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee associated with Feeding America. At this one location alone, 6300 meals are bagged per month to help keep children nourished through the school year.
