VHCC Upward Bound

Future leaders in the making! Our students took over EO yesterday and absolutely crushed it! From mastering the art of a great resume to nailing mock interviews, they spent the day improving their professional game while also getting to experience many different career clusters.

The highlight of the day? A non-verbal communication challenge where the students completely outsmarted the teachers (yes, they beat us, and no, we’re not salty about it... 👀).

Such an incredible, hands-on day of learning!

We are throwing it back to the 1960s this week! Here is what we have been up to:
Science: Geared up and went spelunking. Also won weekly trivia!
Math: Got creative with geometric tessellations and patterns.
Road Trip: Learned about the Cold War with a bunker tour at The Greenbrier Resort (top secret—no photos allowed!). Total luck and good timing, but we also go to see FIFA and the Iraq Men's Soccer Team!
Life Skills: Wrapped up the week by making some groovy, custom tie-dye t-shirts!
